24. September 2015 / Michal Vallo
It is only few weeks after summer, and Agilia Conference – leading Central European conference on agile methods – is back here. And with super early bird tickets now for sale!
In 2016, the main topic is Agile and LEAN innovation. We plan to discuss extensively, how agile techniques help us to kick off innovations within companies. Be it innovation of the product or service, innovation of delivery process, innovation of human capital management or improvements in sustainability of business operations.
Traditionally, you can count with fresh new presentations from world best leaders, authors, and also from practitioners. We have intensified our screening process. Speakers, who are not invited to Agilia because of their proven previous achievements, they are screened by our staff to make sure, they are experts on given field. Presentations of the success stories with agile transformations in organizations are verified on site, therefore we try to make sure that presented cases are true. We want to avoid and exclude at our event politically motivated presentations of fake achievements and superficial experience often seen at other events.
What is new in 2016?
New Venue – we are moving to Olomouc. After years of residing at the same place, we have decided to move. New venue is bigger, more modern and we believe it will accommodate the event better. We expect, here we will be able to provide service at the same level as we are used to see in London, Paris, Frankfurt or another metropolis. Olomouc is easily reachable by trains and many will find it more convenient.
Agile Management Congress (AMC) – is in 2016 optional, and with very intensive program (www.agilemanagementcongress.com). Number of presentations will be limited and replaced by practical hands-on workshops and managed discussions on hot topic in agile management. Congress section will aim at managers and top management across the organizations including HR, Finance, Operations and Sales. It will discuss topics as holacracy, beyond budgeting, remunerations, motivation and many more. Because Agile has never been something for software development only, but it is the way to manage modern knowledge based companies.
Novel presentations – We give priority to novel presentations, which are written exclusively for Agilia Conference and which were not presented yet at any other event.
Minimal Dress Code – do not be afraid. No ties will be required. As Agilia Conference/AMC becomes leading European event, more international visitors are expected. An event is also representation of our country, of our culture and values in front of the world. Agilia is not hippie’s event. And we do not want to offend delegates with inappropriate dress for the event. Homeless style is not suitable for the event.
Presentations and workshops – we can look forward to record number of top agile personas at one place in the history of event with number of unique workshops. Excellent place for your learning experience, for networking and for your business. So far we have got confirmed:
- Scott W. Ambler – author of DAD framework, will carry presentation and 2 days workshop on Distributed Agile Delivery framework,
- Tom Gilb – author of agile principles, brings presentation and workshop of Value Planning in Agile and Lean way,
- Lukasz Wegrzin – lawyer, will discuss legal aspects of agile contracts,
- Pierre E. NEIS – will focus on HR and present outcomes of agile HR projetc,
